Roughly 400 years ago the surrounding area was occupied by the indians of the Huron nation whose capital, Cahiague, was located a few miles north of Lagoon City near what is currently the town of Warminster. Ar that time, the population of the Huron people exceeded 20,000 and was believed to be the largest concentration of Indians in all of North America.
Lagoon City Community Association L.C.C.A. is an active group of Spirited Volunteers (maybe you're one of them), whose purpose is to promote and support the Community Social Activites, offering many Satellite Clubs to which members can enjoy, and hosting various monthly or annual Special Events and Dances.

Besides beautiful living designs, Lagoon City is a boater's paradise! The Marine Centre, undoubtedly Ontario's finest and most elegant full-service marina, offers 277 fully equipped open and covered slips, and accommodates boats up to 60-feet in length.
Complementing the Marine Centre is a whole host of services and entertainment facilities. For example, the Chandlery accessory shop provides everything you need to keep your watercraft fully equipped and safe as well as providing other items. The Bistro is a popular spot for dining or an afternoon cocktail on the sundeck.

To reach Brechin from Toronto, take Highway 400 North and continue on 11 to Orillia; then follow 12 South to Brechin. If you are coming from East of Toronto, take Highway 12 North, or Highway 48 North and proceed to where 48 joins up with 12 just South of Beaverton, then follow 12 North to Brechin.
